Blake Taylor

I was born and raised in San Diego, CA where I forced myself into the local music scene seeing bands like Unwritten Law, Goldfinger, and Blink (before they added the 182) at the Poway Elk’s Lodge. I began promoting peace with music at 17 and was honored with the Gandhi Non-Violence Award by Dr. Arun Gandhi. I also received commendations from the Mayor and City Council of San Diego for an anti-racism concert that raised money for the Tariq Khamisa Foundation. I’ve been behind the scenes of music ever since doing nearly everything but performing on stage.

My wandering soul led me to the Bay Area and back. I briefly called Maui, Tennessee, and Denver home before I headed back to the islands on Oahu. My most recent stint was in Washington State and now I’ve been keeping it weird in Portland, OR.

I’m influenced by all music, especially punk/ska/reggae and classic rock. I spend as much time as I can in front of a PA. Live music is my life and I look forward to putting my energy into the atmosphere and culture The Pier promotes. Be sure to say ALOHA to me at the next show! I’ll be the one at the bar or back stage spilling beer on my beard.
