Latin Reggae-Rock extraordinaire’s, Fayuca, will be taking with them their hometown flag of west Phoenix, Arizona as they set out on a tour this March! In addition to playing the Wild Fire Reggae & Arts Festival, they’ll also be performing at the official High Times Magazine party!
In the last couple of years, Fayuca has become a regular on the festival circuit, sharing the stage with many notable acts including Damian Marley, Nas, 311, The Dirty Heads, and Fishbone.
The band recently signed a deal with Phoenix-based Fervor Records, who launched two pop acts on MTV last year (Super Stereo, Tarik NuClothes) and work regularly with the film and television industries to provide independent music. The partnership will see a release of Fayuca?s fourth album, which is currently in the works and being produced by Jim Wilcox of Authority Zero.
As mentioned in our Most Anticipated Albums of 2012, Fayuca told The Pier that “We have never been as inspired as we are now… Fervor Records and Jim Wilcox have done a great job motivating us and pushing our creativity to extents we never imagined. This record will definitely be a refreshing addition to the modern reggae/rock/latin music scene!”.
Fervor Records joined in on the excitement adding “We’ve been following Fayuca’s growth and success for years. The band rocks. It feels like all their experiences have led up to this point in time and their forthcoming record. All of us at Fervor couldn’t be happier to be a part of Fayuca’s story.”
Audiences can get a sneak peek of the new Fayuca tunes on the upcoming sweep of the great Southwest. You can check the tour dates on the poster and be sure check back to The Pier for coverage & updates on the Tour!
