What are everyone's thoughts on the new cd? Favorite songs, etc.?

Personally I really like it...sounds more similar to Get Wiser then Born in Babylon which is a really good thing in my mind. Also, it really gets better with every listen and I can see myself listening to it for months to come.

I liked Born in Babylon a ton. The new album is on par with the last. Don't think it blows it away, with much of the album sounding similar.

Jacob said they wanted to make a rootsy album, and they got that done to the fullest. It's definitely a great listen. I still have Rebelution rotating through all 36 songs!!

I think it's their best album to date. I really dig albums that have a cohesive sound, rather than just a random collection of good songs. Favorite track is easily "Not Done Yet". Between this & Peace of Mind, it's been a great start to the year for reggae music. And both are really inspiring, positive, uplifting music. Good to see the amount of success these bands are experiencing too.

Yeah I mean don't get me wrong I really like Born in Babylon (definitely their most unique cd) also but I just prefer that rootsy sound that they had on Get Wiser.

Rebelution's new one is great as well...love the dub and acoustic versions of the songs.

We've all been waiting a long time for a new SOJA album too drop. The question is, are we content now that the new album has finally been released? Well, to say the least I love SOJA and everything they've put out previously, but there are a few things in this new album that I'm having a hard time understanding.

1. Where is Bobby Lee on this album? Just bass and no vocals? We all know how bad ass it is to hear Bobby Lee chime in with a buh! and lay down a solid verse.

2. Why is there not even one featured artist? You guys (SOJA) had Gentleman on a track (Born in Babylon - I Tried) for God's sake. No featured artist(s)?

3. Last, no bongos? I can't hear any bongos on any of the new tracks. Kenny Bongo's where you at?

I guess what I'm trying to get at is, it just bothers me that the band seems like it's migrating more and more towards a Jacob Hemphill solo album. (If it isn't already). I mean, we all know Jacob's the man as well as the "front man" and is currently being asked to be apart of many other projects. Also don't get me wrong. I understand that variation, innovation, a new sound, etc. are keys to success, but to the true SOJA fan, it's hard to not to wonder or ask why they didn't elaborate on so many of the things that worked for them in the past.

On a more positive note, the horns sound great and I'm overall happy with the new album. SOJA is a truly talented band and will always have my respect and appreciation. Thanks for reading. Big Ups!

I loved the album overall. Tell Me is my favorite track so far. I'm sure it will change as it always does with time. A lot of the chord progressions seem like they were repeated in a few tracks, just something I noticed. The chord progression in Let You Go sounds almost exactly like the ones used in the Don't Worry chorus. Anybody else pick up on that?

I love this new album. The song Everything Changes gets me every time I listen to it. I love all the songs on it actually and I love the more Rootsy side to it for sure. But my favorite is Born in Babylon... But you can never go wrong with SOJA ... January started off great with Peace of mind and now this album. Can't wait to see SOJA April 20,21,24th
