If you aren't aware already, the Easy Star All Stars have a contest going on where you can guess what their next tribute album is on their site here http://easystarallstars.net/. Personally, I've been hoping they do Pet Sounds for a long time now, so I was pumped to see that as a possible choice. Some other ones that I'd like to see are Red Hot Chili Peppers- Blood Sugar Sex Magik or The Chronic by Dr. Dre.

I would like to see them do PRINCE or DR. DRE!
The album drops this August! Could be a good Fall Time Soundtrack!

My vote is with The Chronic. They've done The Beatles, Radiohead and Pink Floyd, I think it's time they foray into some G-funk. Wouldn't mind RHCP though, and I can almost see them trying Adele. Whichever way it goes, should be another great tribute by them!

You guys really think The Chronic is a possibility? I thought they threw that on the list as a joke. How would they cover the lyrics?? My vote is Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On". I can definitely envision a reggae version of that record.

I agree that it is most likely a long shot, still think it would be cool. Realistically I'm still hoping for Pet Sounds.

So it's down to eight albums. I'm sticking with Marvin Gaye. My guess at the title: "Dub's Going On".

Yeah I'm going to have to go with Marvin Gaye as well. Dub's Going On makes a lot of sense as a title. RHCP would be cool too, The Power of Dub, but no matter what, I hope they don't do MJ...

A little disappointing that they chose Thriller. I mean, it's a classic album and I'm sure they'll do a great job with it (the guest spots look doooope). But after seeing the possibilities of what they might cover, I was hoping for something else, as I'm sure we all were. Oh well, still looking forward to it. Thrillah!! Here's "Billie Jean" w/ Luciano:

I'm sure it will be good, too, but I still would have rather heard several other options before Thriller. I was kind of underwhelmed with their "Billie Jean". Oh well, still looking forward to the album. I was still really hoping for Pet Sounds, just to hear their take on "Wouldn't It Be Nice" would probably be worth it alone.
