Anyone else listen yet? I think it's fantastic, Passafire is hands down the most exciting band in this genre. I'd love to hear them continue to expand with even more of the banjo and other instrumentation. It's also nice to pull up iTunes and see banners for both Ballyhoo! and Passafire scrolling at the top.

Agreed, Start From Scratch is unbelievable. Submersible has always been my favorite Passafire album, but this one is on the same level. Dopeness. One of the best albums this year.

I really like the vocal echos in the title track. very catchy, yet still not pop. and the sub bass is fuckin sick.
i saw some one's signature was "Will Kubley is a bass god". haha. True dat
that dude is a natural born rock star

Totally agree! This is the best album of the year in this genre in my opinion. Ballyhoo! Is a very close second! Give these guys a grammy!

Passafire's first album was sick. Start from scratch is almost sarcastic since these guys never stop amazing me. First time I saw these guys I knew nothing about them. I believe they opened up for The Expendies and "Pekker" haha! 808 reppin...yet Passafire put on a helluva show! An opener spot didn't suit them then.
It's going to be pretty sweet to watch these guys roll through town soon. Can't wait to hear their new songs live! Feel It?

best overall album ive heard in a LONG TIME. So many different sounds with a hint of reggae tying every song together. The instrumentation was cool too. The harmonica and banjo caught me offguard but they worked so well. Hard to Believe is probably my favorite at the moment. Overall 10/10

caligreenz is busted
that totally reminded me of back in the day when i called the radio station to request my band. They we're like, "uumm are you friends with this band or something?" I froze up and felt like a total douche. haha. good times
dude, just make the link your signature so you can participate without having to be a salesman.
its win win
and
back on topic, I saw Passafire when they came through Chicago and fuckin killed it. They were AWESOME live. the sub bass was rumbling the whole place.

start from scratch is absolutely stellar, easily my favorite album of the year. i'm with Righteous, Submersible has always been my favorite but Scratch is right up there with it.
had some trouble getting it from Rockthreads though, anyone else have that problem?

Yes they sent my pre-order to the wrong address, left me a message on my phone like two weeks after I emailed them about the problem, and then finally emailed me back asking for an order number (which was in the email subject line.) Finally did get my package this week, only like a month late.

Geez yeah I pre-ordered the bundle back in August when it was first available and only got it last week. They said it was because they ran out of CDs and then Jagermeister decided to change the poster design last minute. Was completely bummed, but the album rocks so it's all good

Passafire is amazing! Their first album will always be my favorite, but i did enjoy start from scratch. They had a sick show earlier this month when they came to ohio!

Passafire puts on an amazing show! Submersible is a classic album. No song deserves to be skipped, ever. There are some top-tier tracks off of the self-titled album as well (Barcelona/Feel It are tied at the top of my list), but Start From Scratch has it all.
They played "Epiphany" live the other night in AZ, and it was pretty epic. Lighters were out in force. It was a couple years since I last saw Passafire live, but they put on a high-flying, energetic show with tons of character on stage. Plus, they got a banjo! haha
The Pier has a new interview with the band, as well. Check it!
