Stick Figure - Burial Ground

What does everyone think about Scott's new album? I had this pre-ordered, and it came in the mail the day before the official iTunes release with a few stickers and a personal note thanking me for my support. Pretty classy if you ask me. As far as the album itself goes, I think it's a great addition to his catalog. It's 100% Stick Figure, there's no arguing that. Even with an album as good as Smoke Stack, he purified his sound further with Burial Ground. I know at one point it even broke Top 50 of all iTunes Albums (#48, ahead of Coldplay).

Loving it. Need more listings before I'll compare with smoke stack. Definitely one of my favs this year. Great addition to his catalogue for sure.

Played this and the new Dirty Heads all weekend. I can't get enough of Burial Ground, I think it has a chance to overtake Smoke Stack as my favorite Stick Figure album... "Breathe", "Rocky Road", and "Weight of Sound" stood out as my favorite tracks so far, but the whole thing is so damn good.

I gotta agree with you. I can't stop listening to it. Breathe has got to be near the top for me, but it's unbelievably hard to pick a favorite. The whole album just flows together effortlessly.

Does anyone else hear Stoopid's "I don't want to lose you" in "Women of the Night?" I know Scott is a huge SS fan. Wonder if he was jamming it at the time.

I believe its the Bob Marley medley of "stiff necked fools" that Scott & Stoopid were sampling with each of their songs. But he has been known to remix a ton of Stoopid songs. We have a bunch of FREE Stick Figure songs in our MP3 Massive section too:

Stick Figure's albums get better and better every time he comes out with one. In anticipation for the new album, I was weary on whether he can top Smoke Stack or not, but damn, he really blew this one out of the water! Like some of you already posted, this and Dirty Head's Cabin by the Sea are some of the best summer jam CDs that have come my way in years!
