This past weekend I saw Tribal Seeds for the first time in Cleveland, OH. I've been dying to see them for ages, but always was busy whenever they came to town.
Opening for them was E.N Young who was a singer/melodica player who had a live drummer and the rest was backing tracks. I am not a big fan of using backing tracks, but Young was talented none the less. He started his show off mia from stage playing his melodica. He comes out on stage and he has this HUGE puffball hat bigger then a kick drum. Halfway through the show he took it off letting his ridiculously long dreads fall. It was pretty cool. His mic was wireless, so he would walk all around the crowd and jam. I would recommend his music, it was a lot of dub with a bounce.
Tribal Seeds was awesome as this was my first time seeing them live. I didn't realize how old they all were in person. They played a good mix of songs from all their cds including their new ep. It was really cool when i believe it was their drummer who came out from behind the drums to do a fast vocal dancehall chant. They even had E.N Young join them for the song Vampire on his melodica. I just wish they weren't out of the sweet sweatshirts with their logo else i would have bought one. I would always recommend tribal seeds as they are amazing!
