The Bunny Gang to Release Sophomore Album!

The Bunny Gang will release their second album on September 23, 2014 entitled Thrive. In anticipation of the record, Hardline Entertainment has launched a pre-sale contest, which will give all purchasers a chance to win a Fender Guitar with hard case, a pair of Lakai skate shoes or a Blatant skate deck!

The 11-track album was recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios in El Paso, TX with Producer Ryan Hewitt (Sheryl Crow, and The Avett Brothers). It is the band’s first full-length release since 2009’s White Rabbit, and introduces newcomer Nat Lorn-Nelson, who now sings and plays lead guitar for The Bunny Gang, alongside front-man and Flogging Molly bassist Nathen Maxwell. The Southern California record label, Hardline Entertainment has also recently release a compilation album containing The Bunny Gang’s new track “Sirens Through The City”, which you can download by clicking HERE!

The song was co-written with Scott Abels (Jimmy Cliff, The Aggrolites, Tim Armstrong & numerous other acclaimed artists) and takes personal influences from Nathen Maxwell; “I wrote that song when I was living in Harbor City, which is a rough town in South Los Angeles. I was literally sitting on the corner and hearing police sirens every night. At the same time, it’s a song of hope and making it out of the ghetto and thriving. If people could dream bigger and step outside their bubbles, they’d realize the world is a beautiful place.”

The new album is said to be a personal and poignant cross-over into the genres of punk, rock and reggae. Ultimately, anybody who takes this ride with The Bunny Gang will feel that progression. “Life, art, and music are all evolution,” Nathen says, and it sounds like there’s a new era on the rise for The Bunny Gang.
