2015 Bay Area Vibez Festival

On July 1st, it was announced that the inaugural Bay Area Vibez music festival would break ground in Oakland, CA. Presented by Tourn Entertainment, the two-day, three-stage festival will feature over twenty-five of the top names in reggae, hip-hop and EDM.

The founders write, “The festival was created in celebration of music, art, diversity and the rich culture that mirrors the Bay Area and its unique characteristics.”

The Location:

Bay Area Vibez will take place from September 26-27, at the Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, a sprawling thirty-eight acre park located on the Oakland Shoreline that overlooks the beautiful San Francisco bay just west of downtown Oakland, CA.

The Line-Up:

Although the full lineup won’t be announced until tickets go on sale on July 15th, the star-studded preliminary lineup includes:

    The festival promoters promise plenty of surprise guest appearances, and take pride in assembling a diverse mix of artists.

    “To have two of Bob Marley’s sons, Damian and Stephen perform at our inaugural festival is significant to our goal. We also have hip-hop artist Nas as one of our headliners and will be securing some nostalgic EDM artists. The eclectic mix is what constitutes the urban festival and represents the very nature of the Bay Area,” says festival coordinator, Yurel Hassan Cooke.

    Along with the headlining performers, some additional features of the festival are a silent disco; lead by numerous respected DJ’s, on-stage live art, local artisans, authentic local eats, as well as regional craft brew and wine gardens. There will also be after show events, which will be announced soon.

    Ticket Information:

    Tickets go on sale July 15 at 10am, with more artists being announced and a limited supply of early bird tickets to be released. Early bird General Admission tickets are set at $65 for 1-day passes, $120 for 2-day passes and $159 1-day VIP, or $299 2-day VIP passes, which will include early entrance to grounds, special VIP viewing and lounge area, VIP beer and wine garden and select organic foods and snacks. On August 1st, ticket prices will rise to standard rates. Shuttle services will be available for convenient entrance to the festival, but if you’re driving to the festival grounds, parking passes will be available for $29 per day.
