If you happen to be island hopping in the South Pacific, make sure to catch Julian Marley & the Uprising playing in Australia, New Zealand and Solomon Islands. He will be making a special stop in Cairns, Australia where he played a show earlier this year. He liked it so much he told his fans in Cairns that he would be coming back to ring in the New Year with them.
This tour has been called something of a Reggaelution and that’s even a bit of an understatement considering all of the talent to play alongside Julian on this tour. This includes Blue King Brown, Chant Down Sounds, Katchafire, Herbs, Tuff Tamas, Jah Boy, Paua, and Jaggarizza and DJ Basmati from the Rhythm Collision Sound System.
It’s no surprise that the young Marley invited all of these Australian and New Zealand artists, as support, as Julian has always been a very globalized artist. This short end of the year tour, coupled with a few New Years dates, is no different so be sure to catch Julian Marley and the Uprising if you happen to find yourself Australia, New Zealand or the Solomon Islands over the holiday.
