Meet-N-Greet-612x612-TheMovementIration hails from Santa Barbara, California, although all members are originally from Hawai’i. They began by playing reggae cover songs in Isla Vista and other California college towns and recorded their first EP in 2006, building a sturdy reputation for their live performances. Their first full-length album, No Time For Rest, reached the top of the Billboard reggae charts. Iration then saw significant success with 2010’s Timebomb, which has sold over 36,000 copies, reached #1 on iTunes reggae chart and #40 overall on the iTunes music chart.

Their latest album, Automatic, was released last summer on July 2nd via their own 3 Prong Records. The album reached number one on the Billboard reggae charts & on Valentines Day 2014, we Premiered Iration for The Pier’s Live Acoustic Series. The video includes bassist Adam Taylor & Guitarist/vocalist Micah Pueschel performing “One Way Track”, live-acoustic. The band has been endlessly touring to support the album and they continue to make their way around the globe with their high-energy shows.

After their performance at the California Roots Festival, they will hit multiple cities in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas with The Green and Katastro. They will perform at the Wakarusa Music Festival on June 8, 2014, before heading on the road with Rebelution, The Green, and Stick Figure from the east to west coasts. This is sure to be a powerhouse tour not to be missed and if you’re at the festival, don’t miss meeting them at The Pier Booth!
