They say that, “Everything is bigger in Texas.” For musical purposes, the South by Southwest Music Festival is one of the largest outdoor music festivals in the United States. It is so big that it has its own reggae-rock event, Wildfire Reggae and Arts Festival inside Austin, Texas.
Since 1987, South by Southwest or (SXSW) has continuously brought the latest and greatest artists from all genres inside the border of Texas for this particular festival. The music usually lasts at least six days, but other conferences and film festivals could last sometimes ten days or more. The attractions are never endless in terms of music in Austin during the spring. This year, the Wildfire Festival has brought the A-List talent to boot.
The Wildfire Reggae and Arts Festival will feature Jamaican reggae artist, Don Carlos, the 2012 winner of The Pier’s Breakout Artist of the Year, Natural Vibrations and fellow Hawaiian brother, Mike Love, The Expanders and Beyond I Sight, from Los Angeles and Sinizen from Orange County, CA. Those are just a few of the artists and bands being featured this coming spring in Austin, TX.
There are not only top-tier headliners already announced, but there are still final lineups and headliners yet to be made public. The talent level is high, but the depth is abundant, as well. Bands like HaleAmanO, Ashes of Babylon, T.U.G.G., Jet West and others have shared the stage with top shelf performers at other regional music festivals, respectively.
With the talent level present, fans will flock to the Lone Star state this spring in droves, and the sponsors and vendors will be prepared for thousands of concertgoers. If a festival is catering to the reggae market, what better adult beverage to have on hand for fans than Red Stripe, the official sponsor of the 2013 Wildfire Festival? There will be plenty of food and merchandise available through Red Stripe, Rerooted Apparel, The Music Ranch,SJC Custom Drums, Texas Norml
Texas Norml and plenty of other sponsors on site.
The Wildfire Reggae and Arts Festival will take place from March 7-9, 2013 in Austin, Texas at The Music Ranch. Look for further lineup updates and premiere artists announced after January 23rd.
