Gates are expected to open at 10:30am to which fans will be subjected to over 30 Acts on Three Stages, Skate/BMX Demos, Art Displays, Interactive Art Exhibits, Food Trucks and Craft Vendors.

Here’s what event co-founder, Bret Lieberman has shared with The Pier in the past regarding the roots & goal of his festival through Yes I Can: “The YES I CAN social inclusion program for students on the autism spectrum, and their neuro-typical peer mentors, culminates with an end of the year celebration. One year, the students were tired of pizza parties and wanted to try to plan something for not only them, but their school and community. They suggested a concert since music is an age-appropriate universal language. And the meltdown was born… Our goal is our motto: Unity through Music and Education. Now it’s become Unity Through music, art, and education. We want to bridge the gap between socially isolated students on the autism spectrum and their neuro-typical peers.”

The Summer Meltdown has become that growing celebration as the foundation of their goal of bridging that gap continues to succeed, building momentum each year. Thanks to Yes I Can, this upcoming festival is in its 12th year with a line-up of bands that include: Pepper, The Expendables, Nahko (solo), The Movement, Daniel Marley, Seedless, New Kingston, Krooked Treez, Through The Roots, Ontronik, Leilani Wolfgram, The Expanders, Ethan Tucker, Orgone, Wheeland Brothers, Mystic Roots, Simpkin Project, Arden Park Roots, J Ras, Irie Fuse, Arise Roots, LIFE, EVMB, Thicker Than Thieves, Papafish, Native Elements, Iya Terra, Jet West, Black Salt Tone, Ease Up, Coral Thief, Dankrupt, Mr. Good Day, Johnny Love, TL, YIC Crew

“Last year our attendance was 4,700 – 5,000 being considered a sell out. The goal is to reach a sell out for the first time in 12yrs,” states Bret Lieberman.
