At the end of last year, the initial details were publicized for 2015’s Welcome To Jamrock Cruise. Scheduled to set sail on two 5-night musical voyages, this event has now revealed additional details surrounding this epic experience, along with revealing the addition of several more of reggae’s top talent to the line-up.
An event that has quickly grown, due to the overwhelming demand for cabins, this event booked 2 weeks on the state-of-the-art ship known as the Norwegian Pearl. Sailing twice this winter, the first 5-night musical voyage departs November 30, 2015 from Miami, Florida with two days in Montego Bay, Jamaica before its return on December 5, 2015. The second ship leaves Miami, Florida on December 5, 2015 with stops in Falmouth, a new port for this event, and Ocho Rios, Jamaica before its return on December 10, 2015.
Admittedly, two back-to-back cruises isn’t the ideal solution for accommodating the thousands of reggae lovers who want to set sail this year
. While working hard to ensure great trips this year, event organizers have been in talks to reserve a vessel with closer to 4,000 available cabins for the 2016 edition of a single Jamrock voyage.
With less than 15% of cabin space available, these concert-cruises are expected to be sold out months before they depart. And for good reason, this year’s line is staked! It’s a lineup so strong, that Jamrock Producer Dan Dalton told Billboard. Our only advertising is the few thousand dollars spent on boosting Facebook posts
.

Both trips will offer an identical line-up of entertainers. With reggae music playing everywhere on the ship, the cruises feature some of the most popular artists to come out of Jamaica. A roster made up of 30 acts, the line-up showcases the multiple influences that compose Jamaican Reggae music. Included are a great mix of deejays and singers featuring many of todays dancehall and reggae legends, and even some of the genre’s current rising stars. The event also features special sets in Jamaican waters by artists who don’t have visas to perform in the US. This year the first ever Sound System Clash on the seas has been added, along with DJ sets from Stone Love, King Jammy’s, Saxon Sound, Mertro Media, Black Scorpio and Kingston 12.
Many other entertainment events will be planned to satisfy every reggae lover’s appetite. This cruise is all that is reggae, but especially all that is Jamaica. Passengers will get to enjoy an authentic Jamaican experience such as savoy menus, including the daily jerk chicken barbeque, as well as afternoon screenings of Jamaican and reggae-themed films, and of course all the high caliber live music.
Tickets are now on sale. The pricing of the tiered tickets for the 2015 cruises start at $724.00 for an interior cabin and ranges up to $2,774.00 for an ocean view suite. As on a majority of cruise vacations, entertainment and meals, though not alcohol, are included in the price of a pass. To purchase tickets, please click HERE! Or call 1.800.248.7471.
