This Scranton born festival is the one of the largest gatherings of its kind on the east coast. Second only to the Boston Freedom Rally.

Pocono Mountains with its high elevation, amazing hospitality and natural beauty lines up to be a perfect host for these budding entrepreneurs. The festival has roots in the Northeast region starting in Scranton in 2015 as a rally. In October 2019 the event held its first Fall Marketplace in Berks County drawing great success. Kutztown became the new home of the cannabis festival. Hosting bi-annual events it will continue to host the Fall Marketplace event in October while the main event heads to Pocono.

Steeped in over 50 years of sporting tradition. The Pocono Raceway has jumped into the newly formed hemp industry with its brand Pocono Organics CBD. The company grows sustainable foods, produces quality cannabis products, and serves delicious culinary creations out of their store which is located adjacent to the event grounds. The best part about their whole operation is that it is fueled by regenerative and organic methods utilizing solar.

The move to Pocono Raceway is a “peanut butter and jelly situation for both organizations”, festival organizers say.

The Pocono attraction comes with the infrastructure the producers need to host the tens of thousands of enthusiasts that show en masse for the vendors and high energy entertainment. “Acres of flat stable parking lots with ample accessible spaces for the disabled have always been on our wish list. The raceway checks all boxes”

This years line includes, Cultivated Mind, Cheezy and the Crackers, Space Kamp, Mendo Dope Boys and KottonMouth Kings just to name a few. (Check the full schedule below!)

Both Cultivated Mind and Cheezy and the Crackers have been staples in the East Coast Reggae scene for years. Cultivated Mind is a multi instrumentation one man show with undeniable talent and an amazing live show.
Cheezy and the Crackers have been featured on Sugarshack Sessions and bring the party to any event they are on with their good time vibes.

Space Kamp have been building a buzz since 2017. Both of their albums debuted on Itunes top 10 Reggae charts. A high energy live show and connection with their audience has the stoney duo of Adoo and Oskee seeing their “Rebel Hippies Community” grow each year.
The Space Kamp boys also host The Rebel Hippies podcast that runs every Monday right here on ThePier.

It doesn’t get much more stoney then Mendo Dope and Kottonmouth Kings.

The Mendo Dope Boys are on a non-stop mission to spread the Cannabis Culture around the globe. They have gained a huge following throughout the Cannabis Culture and continued to release albums dedicated to  ganja farmers and medical patients. In 2015 they took their music outdoors to record “Live In The Garden” growing a Marijuana plant into a vocal recording booth doing something no one had ever achieved.

Kottonmouth Kings emerged in 1996 with an eclectic — and cannabis-centric — sound that integrated punk, psychedelic rock, reggae, and hardcore rap. The group first attracted mainstream attention in 1997 with the track “Suburban Life.” Appearing on the soundtrack to the horror-comedy film Scream 2 and became a modern rock radio hit. They continued to brashly beat the rap-rock drum over the next two decades. Maintaining a fierce independent streak and issuing a slew of high-charting albums
