Passafire has a new album coming out this fall. The Pre-Order is available but more than that, they’ve announced their tour dates in support of the album and we caught up with Ted of Passafire to see what us fans can expect from Passafire as soon as September 14th. See who will be supporting the tour! Lets check it out…
Passafire will be releasing their new 12 track album Start From Scratch on Sept 20th, 2011. You can listen to 2 of the songs below with “Dimming Sky” and “Start From Scratch”. The album was produced by Paul Leary and the album will be released on the groups new label Flame Guy Records. You can now Pre-Order the album on iTunes for $7.99 by clicking HERE
When news broke that Passafire was announcing a 6 week Fall tour, we contacted Passafire vocalist/guitarist Ted Bowne for a little insight on what fans can expect from the tour. Read below as Ted gives insight on the 2 groups they hand selected to join Passafire on this nation wide fall tour. Enjoy the read & check the dates below!
“We are super stoked for the “Start From Scratch” Tour which will go from September 14th to November 5th. We had the privilege of hand chosing two support bands for this tour. We wanted to invite bands that we feel will hype up the crowd and get them ready for our set which will include a bunch of new songs as well as a full lighting setup (thanks to our new LD Chad Hartsfield), the addition of new instruments to the arsenal, and re-workings of older tunes. Its not a show you’ll want to miss!”
“Jimkata, from Ithaca, NY, will be supporting the first half of the tour They call their music “electro-rock” which is pretty much right on. Its an up-beat mix of electronic dub rock that will surely get the place jumpin’! Tatanka, from Denver, CO, is a band that we have been friends with for a while. They too are very heavily influenced by bands like John Brown’s Body and Fat Freddie’s Drop. They are also a very dub-heavy band with melodic hooks and fat bass lines. They will be supporting the second half of the tour starting after after the Chicago date.”
“We are excited to get back to these cities and see all of our fans old and new. We also can’t wait to drop this album and share it with the world. The countdown is on!!?”
-Ted Bowne of Passafire
