Hawaiian reggae giants The Green will release their sophomore LP, titled Ways & Means, on Oct. 25 via Easy Star Records. You can now Pre-order the album by clicking HERE
The Green’s 2010 self-titled debut was a break-out of gargantuan proportions in the reggae community. The album moved over 20,000 copies and earned props from both iTunes and Billboard as one of the strongest reggae releases of 2010. The four unique voices of singer Caleb Keolanui, singer-guitarist JP Kennedy, singer-keyboardist Ikaika Antone, and singer-guitarist Zion Thompson captured thousands of listeners as the band embarked upon their very first, and quite successful, continental U.S. tour
For Ways & Means, the quartet is joined by touring bassist/producer Brad Watanabe and touring drummer/producer Leslie Ludiazo. The album also features production from Danny Kalb (Ben Harper), Michael Goldwasser (Easy Star All-Stars), Jim Fox (Rebelution, SOJA) and Matthew Honda.
For a brief taste of what’s to come on Ways & Means, check out The Green’s latest EP, Love & Affection, which earned a 4-Star review from The Pier or hear their new material on The Pier’s Pacific Island Sampler, available for FREE download that features a brand new song by The Green.
