Tatanka –Numbers
Tatanka is celebrating the release of their latest album John Dunbar that was released on Oct. 8th 2011. The new album features 12 tracks and 80 minutes of music that includes a guest appearance by Ted Bowne of Passafire. Of the 12 songs featured on the new album, Tatanka was willing to leak their new song “Numbers” for FREE Download this week. “This track hits home for us. You constantly have to be pushing to be better and along the way you can’t let nay sayers hold you down. Numbers is about taking action!” explains the group.
Tatanka actually had to cut a couple of tracks to fit the 80 minute disc. The album produced by Dave Jackson, Joel Scanlon & Tatanka. The album title, John Dunbar, may sound familiar as may have seen the movie Dances With Wolves with Kevin Costner. The cover art was designed by Nick Hughes in a theme consistent with the movie & culture.
Homegrown in Denver Colorado, Tatanka is a four piece specializing in the sounds of dub, progressive reggae, and electro soundscapes. Heavy Caribbean drum and bass grooves provide the pulse for the party as the music invites you to get down and dirty.
