Aer’s New Album ‘One of a Kind’

Aer, the musically eclectic duo from Wayland Massachusetts, are close to releasing their newest album entitled One of a Kind. Set for release on August 14th, One of a Kind is the fourth full-length album from the group led by David von Mering and Carter Schultz, and they’ve just premiered the music video for the album’s titular track.

Since debuting in 2011 with their Hip-Hop chart topping EP What You Need, the band’s popularity has skyrocketed with their music becoming a mainstay on everything from commercials, NFL Broadcasts, and even MTV’s The Real World. Aer’s music is described as a blend of Hip-Hop, Reggae, Rock and Pop, but are looking to switch things up a bit with this album.

“This album has a whole new look and feel to what we’re doing,” says Schultz. Added von Mering, “It has songs that stick with you right away and songs that grow on you gradually. It’s our favorite Aer album yet!”

The eleven-track album features production from David von Mering, Printz Board, and Teddy Geiger, the lead actor in the comedy “The Rocker,” but doesn’t feature any guest vocalists.

Fans of Aer haven’t had to wait long for a new album, as they released their popular self-titled album in 2014, but they’ll be happy to have a supply of new music. Stay tuned for more details including The Pier’s official review and star rating.
