The world can be a scary place, and one where safety is seemingly becoming a luxury.
After gunshots and explosions echoed through the Paris landscape, over 100 people were killed in a ruthless and coordinated attack by the terrorist group ISIS. The Bataclan concert hall, where the band Eagles of Death Metal were set to perform, was one of seven locations targeted by terrorists, and one that saw the most casualties.
Meanwhile, all we could do is watch and ask why?
As we mourn, we would like to take this opportunity to not only call for peace, but to call for an end on clashes with each other and law enforcement. In a time where attacks on innocent civilians are becoming the norm for foreign and domestic terrorists, we need to start looking out for each other in order to avoid an attack like this in our own backyards.
As President Obama said, “This is an attack not just on Paris. It’s an attack not just on the people of France. But this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share.”
In the wake of these events, we ask you to join us in a prayer for peace. Not just for the people of France but for the world
