Allen Stone’s “Guardian Angel” ft. Jacob Hemphill

ATO Records has released a remix of rising R&B-soul singer Allen Stone’s “Guardian Angel”, which includes a new verse featuring SOJA frontman Jacob Hemphill. Grammy award winning producer Supa Dups remixed the song from Allen Stone’s 2015 album Radius, blending in a steady reggae rhythm beside Stone’s easy voice.

Allen Stone emerged from his home state of Washington after successfully self releasing his first album Last to Speak and it’s self-titled successor Allen Stone. In addition to hit tracks like “Unaware” and “Sleep”, the budding soul-pop star won over fans worldwide through a relentless touring schedule, logging nearly 600 shows in 2 years.

Still in the last part of his 20s, Allen has climbed the iTunes and Billboard charts and impressed renowned music critics like NPR’s Ann Powers along the way.

As for the collaboration between Stone and Hemphill, Stone said, “I met Jacob at Byron Bay Bluesfest in 2013. We laughed and talked about life and conscious music for nearly an hour. What a present and generous human Jacob is.”

Allen Stone will perform in support of Jacob Hemphill and the rest of SOJA, as well as with DC rapper Wale, at the legendary Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA on June 4th. You can also catch Stone on the rest of his spring tour, which hits a number of international and US cities over the coming months.
