This season has once again delivered an onslaught of epic music festivals and national tours. Though summer is not yet over, it seems that fall may be lining up to be just as hot! On the heels of their widely acclaimed festival in Monterey CA, the California Roots Crew has announced the initial details for their next event!
Today, out of Santa Cruz, CA comes news that Jeff Monser and Dan Sheehan, of California Roots and Vibes Entertainemt Group, have announced the initial details for their first event on the east coast, California Roots – The Carolina Sessions.

This fall, the producers of California Roots will bring the party to the East Coast, with a 1-day festival, set for October 26th, 2013. The first announcement about artists performing at The Carolina Sessions will be made July 17th followed by a second line-up announcement July 24th. Tickets for the event will go on sale Thursday, August 1st.
This inaugural event will bring major headliners and thousands of fans to beautiful Wilmington, NC at Battleship Park, along the Cape Fear River, home to the first of ten fast battleships to join the American fleet during World War II, the decommissioned USS NORTH CAROLINA.
With plans to develop other “Sessions” in different states, festival organizers were approached by North Carolina’s Pipeline Events Management LLC to do their first eastern event in centrally located Wilmington. Dan Sheehan explains, “When we took a look, we loved it!… We felt Wilmington, NC was a great place to start. It’s within distance of a bunch of colleges and major markets.”
Applauded through out the past few years on their success with the California Roots Festival, Jeff Monser and Dan Sheehan will now spread their talent across the nation. Over the past four years, the California Roots producers have created an intimate event that exemplifies Reggae-Rock music, and the California culture that popularized the genre. Lucky fans on the east coast can finally partake in an intimate festival, one that is sure to have similar vibes carry over to a new part of the the nation.
