With a new album, a music video and a huge tour announced, Iration has been busy as ever. The reggae-rockers are gearing up for a tour that will span the country and include some big names like Sublime with Rome, Steel Pulse, and are happy to have Micah Brown joining them.
The band will be sharing the stage with Fortunate Youth, Through the Roots, and Micah Brown for most of the tour, making for quite an experience. The band shared enthusiasm to be bringing so many talented groups with them, since they were given the same opportunity when they were just starting out.
“We’re excited to share the stage and try to bring out some of the newer artists with us and get them the exposure that they deserve,” Lead guitarist and vocalist Micah Pueschel shares, “Pepper gave us that opportunity by helping us and taking us out on their 2008 tour. They showed us the ropes to touring, maybe before we should have since we didn’t even have any albums out then! But, they were cool about it, so we’re looking to do the same for other bands in the genre.”
Fans have been buzzing about the new addition of Micah Brown to the group for the summer. They played their first official show together in Las Vegas on the rooftop of the Cosmopolitan over looking the city with an attendance of about a thousand fans. After having such a successful show, there is talk of whether or not Micah will become a permanent member after the summer tour.
“We’ve discussed this and its something that we wanna do for the summer and we would love to make it work and keep him permanently. However, we respect that he has his own solo career and he’s worked to get himself to that point. We’re gonna play it by ear and not put any permanent titles on anything just yet. We’re just looking forward to having him join us because he’s really talented.”
Not only will they be playing their current material, but also fans can still enjoy the older songs and even some acoustic jams with a new twist. Covers are something they like to incorporate into shows just to break it up and keep the energy going. They have a lot of great cover songs, but they “don’t wanna let the cat out of the bag” by revealing what songs just yet.
