As mentioned in our Most Anticipated Albums of 2011 article, Oakland’s Clear Conscience is expected to release a 12 track Acoustic album titled Lust At First Sight with a tentative, digital, release date of April 5th 2011. The physical copies will come as a CD/DVD set. The DVD will contain 2 music videos and the CD is set to have an extra track on it. Look out for the CD/DVD set to come out around May 15th, 2011.
This album was recorded in Hawaii with a “one take” approach. Vocals were recorded in Hawaii and San Francisco. Mixing and mastering will be completed by Rick Vargas who mastered Clear Conscience’s last 3 albums. Rick V. was also the engineer for Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir.
This album was recorded in an approach to show an intimate side of Clear Conscience with dear friend and co-engineer, Kamaka, who sings chorus on most tracks and adds that Hawaiian vibe to the album. Ross May (of Faded Chroniclez) will be on the track Wet, 77 Jefferson on Lost My Love remake, and Dub Passenjah (of Chapter 11) on Connection.
