More news from the Marley Family came with a new venture into the cannabis industry. As the new and bustling industry continues to spread across the nation, many brands, celebrities, and artists are hopping on-board the marijuana bandwagon.
The latest comes in the form of a new Colorado dispensary in the heart of downtown-Denver with an opening in partnership with Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.
The cannabis industry is booming with many entities playing important roles to advocate the knowledge, acceptance, and legitimacy of the marijuana cultivation profession. After seeing four states (Washington, Colorado, Oregon and Alaska) and the District of Columbia enact recreational laws with many more implementing various levels of medicinal use and decriminalization, it seems there is not much left to stop the tidal wave that is now the marijuana industry. Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley is one of the latest to catch the wave.

Stony Hill is the new flagship location for the Tru Cannabis brand with seven locations around the region and one in Oregon. Prime location adjacent to Mile High Stadium in addition to top-quality variety ensures plenty of traffic. Patients are provided a separate private room, but locals and tourists 21 years and older are both welcomed with a warm, up-scale atmosphere and friendly employees.

The grand opening took place on Thursday, September 22nd, 2016 and The Pier dropped by on a recent visit to the Mile High city during its opening month. Stony Hill caters to both medical and recreational visitors with an offering of sativa, indica, hybrid, and high-CBD cannabis in various forms. Patients and consumers can choose from numerous strains and potencies of flowers, concentrates, edibles, topicals, tinctures, as well as related accessories and gear.
“Stony Hill” has been a trending term lately and is the namesake of multiple Jr. Gong projects; the upcoming 4th studio album, the new Denver dispensary, and the dispensary’s signature custom strain all carry the same name that references Marley’s childhood home located in the St. Andrews Parish in Jamaica.
