Earlier this month Death by Dub dropped their debut album “Abundance” with Color Red Music.
With the new album, the band draws from the long history of reggae music and sound system culture influenced by dub-heavy producers Lee Perry and King Tubby. Headed by Dan Africano and Scott Flynn of John Brown’s Body, the band was launched in 2018 when both musicians moved to Denver. Death by Dub is a new and original style of dub, reggae music.
The group’s debut record ‘Abundance’ is the result of assembling a rotating cast of some of the most astute collaborators in today’s music scene. Featured artists including Elliot Martin of John Brown’s Body, and mainstays like Drew Sayers (The Moet) and rotating players from Theveiery Corporation.
