This fall, Fortunate Youth will embark on another adventure across the country with the Fall With Friends Tour! The Los Angeles based band will kick off the tour in late August while bringing along some of today’s rising stars in the reggae scene.
Joining the band on all shows will be long time friends, Ease Up. In addition, select dates will feature support from The Expanders, The Steppas, New Kingston, Ashes Of Babylon, Thrive and Highdro. The tour officially starts on August 28th in Flagstaff, Arizona, and will extend through states all across the nation before eventually coming to an end on November 26th with Fortunate Youth’s annual pre-thanksgiving hometown show in Hermosa Beach, California.
According to keyboardist/bassist, Jered Draskovich, the band is stoked to be hitting some new areas on the fall run including venues in Minneapolis, MN and Spokane, WA. In addition, their good friend and fellow reggae musician, Josh Heinrichs, will be hosting an event in his hometown of Springfield, Missouri, in which the band will be providing support for Josh who is also featured on the track “Sweet Sensi” off of Fortunate Youth’s 2014 release, It’s All Jam.
When asked his thoughts on the upcoming tour, Jered told The Pier, “Overall just happy that we could make it all happen, link everyone up and really just bring our friends along on the journey with us, hence the ‘Fall With Friends Tour.’ Plus we’re getting back around to a couple markets we’ve missed like San Antonio, TX, Columbus, OH, St. Louis, MO, and Omaha, NE. There might be a NEW song played here or there during soundcheck and while we travel, so you never know!! The VIP acoustic performances always tend to bring something unheard! We all just want to thank everyone who comes out to the shows and shares FY’s music!”
Fortunate Youth also provided The Pier with exclusive news that the band is working on a new full-length album to be released in the spring of 2015 so make sure to stay tuned for updates!
