Jesse James Pariah Releases Acoustic Version of “Horns Under Halo”

Jesse James Pariah, the surfer, singer-songwriter and Slum Beach Posse member, has released an acoustic version of his brand-new single, “Horns Under Halo,” available now.

Recorded at the SVN/BVRNT compound in Malibu, CA, the track features Strange Case guitarist Zane Vandevort, who brings an island-infused acoustic vibe that perfectly complements Jesse’s emotive vocals. The song dives deep into the ongoing battle between good and evil, as Jesse unpacks the skeletons haunting his past through a soulful melody.

A familiar name in Hawaii’s surf culture, Jesse James Pariah has carved out a reputation that bridges the surf and music communities. Born and raised on the island of Kauai, his musical influences range from Eminem to classic rock legends like The Doors, all while absorbing the energy of the SoCal punk scene. During his formative years, Jesse discovered the ukulele, which became his form of musical therapy and an outlet for self-expression.

This passion for music led him to DENM, who became both a mentor and collaborator. Through this connection, Jesse linked up with like-minded Huntington Beach artists such as Landon McNamara and Benny Ranks. A spontaneous jam session between them eventually gave birth to the Slum Beach Posse—a collective of musical misfits bonded by their shared love for surfing and reggae.

DENM later brought the collective together for a week-long jam and recording session at McNamara’s house. The result? “Slum Beach Posse Vol. 1,” a groundbreaking album that catapulted the group into the national spotlight, racking up over 30 million collective streams online.

Now, Jesse James Pariah is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated debut album, set to drop in spring 2025 through SVN/BVRNT and Regime Music Group. The record promises an eclectic blend of genres, from island-infused reggae to alt-rock, capturing the highs and lows of Jesse’s personal and artistic evolution.

Stay tuned for more music from Jesse James Pariah as he continues to make waves in the music industry.
