Courtesy of GanJah Records, Springfield, MO’s very own, Josh Heinrichs, will be releasing his next album, Satisfied on October 18th, 2011. This will be his 5th solo release for the former Jah Roots frontman. He also has a few upcoming shows with SkillinJah & Fortunate Youth. Lets take a look…
The new album, Satisified, will have 10-12 brand new songs. The only guest appearance on the album will be on the song Ganja that Josh is doing with his friends from Ashes of Babylon, who are out of Austin, TX. This comes as a surprise considering that Josh always enjoys sharing the spotlight on his music, both musically & vocally. The album is being recorded out of Josh’s own GanJah Studios among other various studios they use throughout the area.
When The Pier found out Josh was releasing a new album, we had to get some input and this is what he had to say…
“My new album, “Satisfied”, is a more live in studio full band style of roots reggae that people were used to hearing from me with my old band Jah Roots. This album is a true testament to my increasing love of being a solo artist and how now I am free to do what I want with my music and truly being “Satisfied” with the results”.
Josh continued on to discuss his plans for an October release party in Hawaii, “I will be doing a Hawaiian album release tour alongside J Boog, Anuhea and Natural Vibrations for their album releases as well. The shows will take place Oct 29th in Honolulu and Nov 5th in Kona.”
