Former Jah Roots band member, SkillinJah, just announced the release of another track from his upcoming album “Reality,” scheduled to drop Sunday January 22nd. The new song, also titled “Reality” features former band mate Josh Heinrichs and is available for your listening pleasure right HERE.
Their first album together, “Emergency Spliff,” debuted at #17 on iTunes top 200 reggae albums, setting the bar pretty high for their new release. That being said, “Reality” is already on The Pier’s list for the 2012’s Most Anticipated Albums, so make sure not to miss it.
In other Skillinjah news, the track “Skilla Dan Dem” is now accessible HERE for FREE! That’s right, it is now free to download make sure to get it while you can and share it with your friends. The official music video for “Skilla Dan Dem” is also now on youtube as well as The Pier for those who have yet to see it. Josh Heinrichs, also a former member of Jah Roots and a feature on Skillinjah’s new album, is also making some noise in the music world. On Jan. 28th, Heinrichs will be playing a special set in Seattle, WA with none other than Kyle & C-Money of Slightly Stoopid, for The Rachel Halladay Benefit Show. He will then be returning to Springfield to host the annual Bob Marley Bash, with special guests Cas Haley, 77 Jefferson, Skillinjah, and The Seed. The show begins at 9 p.m. in the basement of The Outland. Tickets are 10$ and capacity is limited, so remember, get there early!
