I don’t think this has ever been seen before. We have Pepper vocalist & guitarist, Kaleo Wassman joining Dirty J of Dirty Heads on stage to unite for an impeccable encore, with the song “Lay Me Down”! The two groups have been around the music scene for 10+ years and while they’ve shared the stage at various festivals, this is the first time they’ve come together for a tour.
What you don’t often find at festivals that you’ll see on tours, are two groups coming together to collaborate on stage. When bands tour with each other, its far more likely they’ll build a rapport that enables enough comfort amongst each other to share a song in a live performance. Sometimes this leads to songs being done on future albums – I wonder what a song that combines Pepper & Dirty Heads would sound like?
Everyone was screaming in excitement and the drumming on the pavilion chairs echoed loudly in hopes of the bands coming back to the stage. This on-stage collaboration was a sure treat!
