British reggae artist & dancehall toaster, Macka B, is gearing up for the Sept. 29th release of his upcoming studio album, Health Is Wealth via VP Records. The album features tracks produced in Jamaica, Germany & Japan alongside recordings made in Macka’s Black Country heartland as well as the London studios of Mafia & Fluxy & Stingray.
A career that’s spanned 30 years, you’ll find a deep catalog of albums, EPs and collaborations. Macka B was born Christopher MacFarlane in the West Midlands town of Wolverhampton, England, near Birmingham. As a youth, he played violin and sang in the school choir, but reggae remained his first musical love.
With his forthcoming album, Health Is Wealth, Macka B is riding the momentum stirred by his now viral videos lyrically breaking down the benefits of produce and vegetables. The focus track for the album is “Wha Me Eat (remix)” a vegan anthem given new life and fully supported by Macka B TV, newly launched ‘Wha Me Eat’ health supplements and clothing line. The Album includes 16 total tracks with a guest feature from Maxi Priest on a rendition of Ras Michael’s “None A Jah Jah Children.” The album will also include the viral hit of “Cucumba” and last years single release of “Gangster.”
