On January 28th, 2014, Mighty Mystic will be releasing a new album Concrete World via VPAL Records. In the meantime, he has released the new single off the forthcoming album with the song “War (Rumors of War)”.
It’s a lyrically conscious track with a message of hope and change in avoiding the destruction each other around the element of war. The message of the song is routed in the title “War”, too much war and violence pinning brothers against brothers. This song is sure to get your minds turning in a positive way. His approach to Hard Roots Reggae mixed with elements of Rock and Hip Hop make him an 
intriguing artist to keep an eye on and with his new single, “War (Rumors of War)”, there’s positive intrigue over what his new album will sound like.
Mighty Mystic was born Kevin Mark Holness, in the countryside of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. As a child, Holness showed early interest in his native island’s music. It was common to hear him singing songs like “Buffalo Soldier,” “What the Hell the Police Can Do,” or hymns sung in Sunday morning church. These days, he goes by the moniker, Mighty Mystic and has made an evolving presence for himself on the east coast, currently out of Boston, MA.
