Back on November 1st, California Roots Music & Arts Festival announced the first of 3 line-ups set to play the 3 day festival taking place in Monterey, CA from May 23-25th. Today, they announced the second round of bands & the lineup continues to build with an even more impressive list of bands set for the festival!
Here is the list of bands for today’s Round 2 Announcement…
No bad, eh? And to think that this festival will also include the first round of bands that includes: SOJA, Ziggy Marley, Iration, Alborosie, Tatanka, Zion I, Passafire, Los Rakas, Cisco Adler, The Expanders, Katastro & Hirie
The 3rd and final line-up of bands will be announced on January 9th. “Today, fans are asking more than just quality music, they’re looking for an overall experience and we provide that. Jeff and I collectively attend about 10-15 festivals per year to get a clear idea of what works and what doesn’t. We talk to the fans, we talk to the promoters and there is quite the camaraderie between most of us. We aren’t just shooting in the dark,” says festival co-founder Dan Sheehan.
It doesn’t look as though Dan & the rest of the Cali-Roots fam are shooting in the dark with these festivals as the first round of tickets released sold out in just 8 hours. The second round sold out in 24 hours & the festival promoters are expecting this entire festival to sell out before 2013 ends.
