After releasing his fifth full length, The Journey in November of last year, Mishka is getting set to suuport the that release on a run down the east coast this spring.
November 19th of 2013, the Caribbean’s own Mishka, released The Journey, his new 12 track album produced by Dean Pond and distributed through Jimmy Buffett’s Mailboat Records. Returning to his creative roots, fully independent and totally in control of his art and career, The Journey is a statement of where Mishka has been and where he is going.
Mishka’s Journey has taken him full circle, from an independent singer songwriter, to major label fame, through the bright lights of Hollywood, and finally right back home, where he is at his best, in the Islands, creating his own sound, with artistic integrity and full creative control over his craft.
Now, following a run through Europe, Mishka will once again take his music out of the islands, to venues along the east coast. Scheduled for 16 shows, Mishka will travel for just over a month from The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY down to Jacksonville, Florida.
As the bill states, this run is “unplugged and fully connected,” so fans can expect intimate acoustic shows by the singer-songwriter.
Touring with Mishka on this run will be musician Sarah Blacker. New England Music Awards ‘Female Performer of the Year,’ Sarah is currently supporting her latest release, 2013’s Precious Little Things while also busily writing and recording her style of music, dubbed “sundress rock.”
