Set to release on May 7th, Barrio Sideshow will be Fayuca’s first release on Ferver Records. Included in the 10 track release is the re-releasing of Fayuca’s fan favorite “Shoot It Up”. Only this time it will feature a guest appearance from Jason Devore of Authority Zero
Here’s what guitarist/vocalist Gabriel Solorzano, had to say about “Shoot It Up”…
“Shoot It Up was originally inspired by an old friend’s struggle with drug addiction. If there is one positive thing to take away from his situation, I would have to say its his outlook on life; ‘live each day as its your last’. Throughout the years the song’s meaning began to shift and grow on me, I realized no matter how you choose to live your life, live it proud and without regret…..Of all the lessons Jason has taught me, the most inspiring one is to push my limits and never give up; it would only make sense to feature him in this recording of ‘Shoot It Up’.”
Here’s what Jason Devore of Authority Zero had to say about being featured on the song…
“Gabo had approached me with the idea of a collaboration on ‘Shoot It Up’ and had mentioned it was somewhat influenced a bit by our group back in the day. That fired me up and he then continued to tell me what the song was about. The idea of last chances, living in the moment, and takin’ a hold of the positive in it all to live….The verse I wrote came quick and naturally given that mentality and I’m excited for the boy’s and their new release.”
