KBong – “Hold On”
“Hold On” Background:
Yes, KBong is a keyboardist in Stick Figure. More than that, he’s a progressive artist who continues to write & release his own songs. Because of his experience and opportunities with Stick Figure, Hi Roots, Polynesian Underground, he’s refined his craft & is ready to showcase it on June 17th with his first solo album, Hopes and Dreams.
You can only have one first impression and KBong knows this. The first song off his 14 track album is the same song he’s giving away for FREE! That says a lot about how he feels about the song. It’s titled “Hold On” and when we asked KBong about the song, he explained that: “‘Hold On’ is a song that reminds people to be thankful for whats in front of them. Many times we feel as if we want to abandon ship, but we must consider whats on board. Because when you jump, you’ll be swimming in the water on your own.”
KBong is thankful, sharing that the song: “Was co-written with a good friend of mine, Johnny Gray, who works out of Melody Sunrise Studios in Chicago. We met last summer on the Stick Figure & Passafire Summer Hotbox tour. We’d always talked about doing a track together and I thought this one was a good fit.”
In addition to Johnny Gray’s contribution, the album also features special guest appearances courtesy of Stick Figure, E.N Young, Alific, Nolan Clark, Sam of John Brown’s Body, Todd Smith and more!
