“Where the Beach Meets the Ocean” Background:
“Where the Beach Meets the Ocean” is track 5 off Mike Pinto’s latest 13 track album Truthful Lies.
Here’s what Mike Pinto had to share in regards to the song:
“Where The Beach Meets The Ocean’ is the first single off Truthful Lies. It’s a song that oozes summer time easy living, and I felt it was the right tune for the right time of year.””
The new album features guest appearances by Junior Marvin (Bob Marley), Jesse Wagner and Roger Rivas (of The Aggrolites), George Laks (Lenny Kravitz) & Chuck Treece (Bad Brains, G Love, McRad). The album’s artwork was done by Jimmy Ovadia.
Many of the tracks were recorded by Dan Malsch, at Soundmine Studios in East Stroudsburg, PA., while other tracks were recorded by Lew Richards at 17th Street Studios in Costa Mesa, CA. Said to be a mix of elements from Pinto’s old style to a transition of other genres, the album is going to include reggae, folk, rock n’ roll, early funk, and more!

Mike Pinto Background:
Originally from Philadelphia, PA but now residing in San Diego, CA, Mike Pinto is a singer/songwriter that takes an artist approach in combining reggae, rock, ska, folk & acoustic elements into a storyteller jam adventure. With descriptive lyrics that bring about the smell, sight & feel of his stories through song, Pinto has released 3 albums and an EP since 2005.
His debut release, Little District was released while residing in Philadelphia in 2005 & by 2006, underground success and an exploding fan base empowered him to expand westward with two nationwide solo acoustic tours. Following his second tour, Pinto relocated to San Diego where he continues his storytelling songwriting and constant touring.
After touring around the nation as a solo act, for this upcoming release, Pinto will once again tour with a full band. Mike Pinto’s live band line up will consist of Mike Pinto on Guitar/Vocals, Mike Hatton on Bass, Brian Daggett on Drums, Max O’Leary on Trumpet and Jon Cestero on Tenor Sax.
Headlining dates across the nation on the Truthful Lies Tour with special guests Natural Vibrations and Three Legged Fox, Pinto will be supporting his forthcoming LP of the same name. The tour kicks off on May 17 in San Diego, CA, before making 48 stops up and down the West and East Coasts. He’ll also be performing at the 4th Annual California Roots Music & Arts Festival in Monterey, CA.
