Outlaw Nation – “Patiently Waiting”
“Patiently Waiting” Background:
Here’s what Outlaw Nation told The Pier about “Patiently Waiting and their new album:
“’Patiently Waiting’ is an ode to self-determination and staying positive through day in and day out in all of life’s situation. The song was recorded in the Washington DC area over the summer this year and was self produced by the guys in the band. We are currently working out the details for our upcoming tour to support the release of the album, we are looking at a start date of late October.”
New album #otlnthelaststand! Is a gumbo of influences ranging from not only the spicy heritage of New Orleans, but it embraces the sounds of Red Dirt Country, as well as the dry grass sounds of California folk rock and even touches on the modern sounds of hip hop and more! #otlnthelaststand! Is a return to porch music and storytelling by young musicians.
Outlaw Nation’s Bio/Background:
Outlaw Nation’s unique gumbo of sounds has a distinctive flavor that only a city like New Orleans could help create. After recording a sizable catalog of albums that ran the vast spectrum of sounds and genre’s, the band decided to go back to the place it felt most comfortable, and that was in the bosom of Roots Rock!
“We toyed with ideas for a few different musical visions for the next album and even finished one that we thought was a good one, but after listening to it we just decided that it was not from the heart so we canned it.” says Danny Woolen (bassist)
“I think we just wanted to make sure we came from the purest place with this new album and ultimately, Folk, Country and Roots Rock has always played a big part in the writing process for us and our love for artists like Bruce Springsteen and Steve Earle and others made us take a step back and focus,” remarks Simeon.
“Our influences range from Pat Green to Wilcox, the Jayhawks to Ray Wylie Hubbard,” says Simeon.
The Laid back nature of this record sets the mood for both a chill house party but the beats provide you a bangin’ backdrop for canyon anthems all the same. #otlnthelaststand! brings together the audible sounds of yesteryear and today!
The album will be released on October 18th 2012 and will be available for download in several digital outlets such as ITunes and also CD’s will be on sale in select retail locations, and of course on the band’s tours.
