NEW Video – Badfish’s “F You Pay Me” ft. Grieves

Badfish, the notorious Sublime cover band, has just dropped their first official music video for their latest single “F You Pay Me,” and it’s every bit as gritty and spontaneous as the band itself.

The video, released on Ineffable Records, came together on a whim during a two-day tour break when trumpet player and co-writer Dan E.T. seized the moment to flash-direct the shoot. Armed with a DIY spirit, bandmates Pat Downes and Scott Begin joined Dan in a rogue takeover of Warwick Shopping Mall, embodying their eccentric alter egos: The King (Downes), The Hustler (Begin), and The Rockstar (Dan E.T.). Filmed guerilla-style by Blake Hansen from Boardzhouse Production, the video crackles with the kind of chaotic energy fans know and love from Badfish’s live shows.

As a cross-country twist, the Golden Gnome—the band’s quirky mascot—was shipped from the East Coast to Seattle for featured rapper Grieves’ segment, directed by collaborator Pants. This blend of East and West Coast adds an extra layer of depth, mirroring Badfish’s approach to music: rooted in ska and reggae but crossing boundaries with ease.

“F You Pay Me” shows that Badfish isn’t about following trends but transcending them, and it’s a loud signal that more original tracks are on the way.
