Passafire & Ballyhoo!’s BrewHaHa Tour

Just announced, this Fall, Reggae-Rock bands, Passafire and Ballyhoo! will hit the road on a Co-headlining “BrewHaHa Tour”. Kicking off on October 4th the bands will make 29 stops around the Eastern side of the States.

Both bands, residents of the East Coast, deliver a unique take on the genre, and after years of touring, each band has built a true following of similar fans. Passafire hailing form Savannah GA, and Ballyhoo! being from Aberdeen MD, while their styles differ, their music has lead them down converged paths, including Pepper’s Law Records. Though they have played together on various bills, including 311’s Caribbean Cruise, these two have not yet toured extensively together.

Opening in Atlanta, the tour is set to first run down the east coast of Florida, before heading around the Southeast, back up the Northeast for two select dates with Tribal Seeds. The bands then work down the coast for a big date at the California Roots: Carolina Sessions, a day filled with Reggae-Rock acts including SOJA, Dirty Heads, and many more. The BrewHaHa continues into the beginning of November, with four nights throughout Florida.

Ballyhoo! front man, Howi Spangler, told The Pier “We listen to Passafire a lot on the road and we look forward to watching their show every night. It’s really rad too, because I know that we share a fan base. I’ve been hearing for a while now that our bands should team up and we finally have the opportunity. It’s gonna be a great, fun night of music.”

This newly announced touring collaboration follows recent successes of both acts. Passafire just days off their successful national summer tour with Stick Figure, has announced that band has joined Easy Star Records for the release of their 5th studio record, Vines, dropping 11/12/13.

Following a national tour with Authority Zero, the Ballyhoo! crew is currently working in the wake of major success with their latest album Pineapple Grenade. Self-released on the band’s new label Right Coast Records, Pineapple Grenade hit #4 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, #189 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and #5 on the iTunes Alternative Charts.
