Rafael of SOJA visits The Movement

As we announced last week, The Movement is in sunny Southern CA recording their upcoming album with producers Christopher Harwin & Larry “LUX” Schmidt at The Compound. Last week, The Movement received a visit from a member of SOJA, who flew out from Puerto Rico to be on the album…

As mentioned on March 6th via The Pier, The Movement’s new album will be titled Side By Side and they’re staying true to form with that title, all the way down to the recording experience.

SOJA’s trumpet player, Rafael Rodriguez, aka Rafa, flew into San Diego, CA from Puerto Rico, to stay at The Compound studio from March 12th – March 18th, bringing some brass to the Side by Side album.

Most groups would record their tracks locally and just send the session file over to the producer to arrange & mix. In this case, Rafael flew out to do his parts in the same studio, traveling from Puerto Rico, to make it happen, Side by Side, with The Movement.

Side by Side will be released summer 2013. Come back for details on the groups new single & plans to tour this spring!
