In continued support of their August 14th full-length studio album, Top Of The World, genre defining reggae jam band, Slightly Stoopid, has just announced the dates for their winter tour in January!
For Slightly Stoopid, 2012 was filled with major festival headline dates, sharing the stage with 311 on the annual Unity Tour for over 30 dates, performing around the nation and concluding the year with an east coast headlining tour with Karl Denson and Tomorrows Bad Seeds. With 2013 right around the corner, it seems as if Slightly Stoopid is set to keep up their pace in the new year. Following a short holiday break Slightly Stoopid will bring their unparalleled live act back to the west coast, for a thirteen date winter run.
The band will travel from the Southwest, up through California, to as far north as Vancouver, Canada. Thus far an opening band has not been announced; however the run will feature Slightly Stoopid’s unofficial eighth member and saxophonist, Karl Denson for the last 10 dates of the west coast swing.
Recently, it was announced that Slightly Stoopid will headline the 4th Annual California Roots Festival. On their tour page, Slightly Stoopid has listed this date as well as several other dates in the Southeast during the end of April, which were postponed from their east coast tour earlier in the year. These later dates in April could possibly be the first block of dates for a spring tour in route to the reggae-rock festival in Monterey, CA in May.
