Sly & Robbie’s Reggae Connection!

On August 27th, Reggae’s dynamic DUB duo, Sly & Robbie, is back with a brand new studio album! Their latest release titled, Reggae Connection, features The Jam Masters and it will be released off of the duo’s very own, Taxi Records.

In addition to Sly & Robbie’s production expertise, Reggae Connection was co-produced by Kaz Asonuma. The album features 10 tracks with guest appearances on each song. Following the success of their last release, the 2013 Grammy-nominated reggae album, New Legend – Jamaica 50th Edition, you can be sure to expect nothing less than a Grammy worthy effort from Jamaica’s veterans.

“Gangsta Luv” is the album’s first single. The song features dancehall legend, Mr. Vegas, along with an up-and-coming all girl Jamaican group known as KGN21. In addition, there is a reggae-infused cover of Maroon 5’s, “One More Night” led by Jamaican songstress, Nioma. The entire album features artists from all across the world including areas like Jamaica, Japan and Hawaii.

Sly & Robbie have worked collectively for over 40 years and on over 200,000 singles throughout their very successful careers. Whether playing music or producing, everything they touch turns into gold. For instance, their production of No Doubt’s “Hey Baby” and “Underneath It All” helped the band win two Grammy’s in two different years. They have also collaborated with legends such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney, amongst many others.

Be sure to keep an eye and ear out for Sly & Robbie and The Jam Masters – “Reggae Connection” to drop on August 27th!
