The Expendables 2016 Spring Blackout Tour

Perhaps the hardest working band of the year so far, The Expendables, were halfway through their current Winter Blackout Tour with Katastro, Fortunate Youth and Ballyhoo! when they announced plans for a Spring Blackout Tour.
Spring Blackout Tour 2016
The Spring Blackout Tour, which will cover fourteen states in fifteen days, is set to kick off on March 24th at the Baltimore Sound Stage in Baltimore, MD, a mere eight days after the conclusion of the Winter Blackout Tour.

The band will be joined by several heavyweights including Passafire and 2015 breakout stars Tunnel Vision throughout the duration of the tour, with Roots of Creation accompanying the bands from 3/24 — 4/3 and Jon Wayne & The Pain coming aboard from 4/4 — 4/9.

Guitarist/vocalist Geoff Weers shared his excitement for the tour, telling The Pier: “I’m excited for the tour. Haven’t done shows with Passafire in a while so it’s gonna be a blast. Roots of Creation, Jon Wayne and the Pain and Tunnel Vision are gonna make it even better. Cannot wait!”

Passafire, Tunnel Vision and Roots of Creation are all said to be working on new music, or have new music ready to be released in 2016, which is a good indicator that you should get to these shows early to support the opening acts to discover and hear brand-new music.

Whether or not The Expendables have new tunes up their sleeves remains a mystery, but we’re positive that the Santa Cruz natives will continue their 19 years of shredding live music, spanning their 6 studio albums, including 2015’s Sand in the Sky!

If you want to catch the band leading up to their performance with Thrive at the California Roots festival on Memorial Day weekend, then be sure to get your tickets for the Spring Blackout Tour today.
