As The Expendables get closer to the upcoming May release of Gone Soft, the band continues to share goodies from the new acoustic album. The Santa Cruz band has shared the acoustic version of “Trying to Focus” and as of this past week, the new album art!
The album artwork is by Shaun Logan and photography by Taylor Miller and showcases an acoustic guitar, an out of focus glass of beer, and what looks like an entrance to a warehouse. The Expendables’ new studio warehouse perhaps? The band purchased the warehouse in order to 
have a place to produce, write, and crank out tunes for albums such as the upcoming acoustic release of Gone Soft.
The photo is actually of the backstage door at The Catalyst venue in Santa Cruz, CA. A long time home to The Expendables. It was an idea that Shaun Logan had with the acoustic warm up before The Expendables hit the stage at home.
With artwork ready to go, The Expendables acoustic album drop comes as soon as this May! With no release date confirmed, the album will consist of Expendables classics and band favorites that have been looked at with a completely different approach. Not simply an acoustic version of a song but taking a new look at songs they love in order to make it sound great with all new acoustic instruments!
With the album release scheduled for May, a tour follows up shortly at the end of May. Unwritten Law and Josh Fischel are joining the guys on a five-show tour in eight days! The awesome part about the tour is that it is half acoustic so both The Expendables and Unwritten Law will perform some acoustic jams, as Josh will rock the opening acoustic set. Following the tour, The Expendables will be hitting up the raging California Roots Festival in Monterey, CA along with SOJA, Pepper, and much more!
