2014 has already been an exciting year for the foursome from Baltimore, Maryland, otherwise known as Ballyhoo! In the winter they went on tour with Passafire for the BrewHaha Tour, and then in the spring they continued their road warrior mentality for their 2014 SHFM-Tour-Pic-Pineapple Grenade Tour where they debuted the “Official Ballyhoo! App” for Android and iOS. Plus, they filmed a video for The Pier’s Live Acoustic Series with Passafire when they came through Denver in February 2014.

Then in April, Ballyhoo! veteran bassist J.R. Gregory decided to leave the band after 10+ years in the band. He was soon replaced by new bassist, Nick Lucera, who made his debut show on May 9th at The Debot in York, Pennsylvania. You can read about Nick joining the band by clicking HERE!

On June 17th, Ballyhoo! released a 3-song EP entitled Halo which includes a remix, a cover, and a re-made song that you can read about right HERE. After releasing the EP, the band will continue into the summer with their third tour of the year and hit the road in July for their SuperHappy FunMoney Tour with special guests Fayuca and Bumpin Uglies.

Fayuca is coming off a big 2013 where they released their fourth debut album Barrio Sideshow, went on tour in the summer and fall, and had their music video for the song “Por Que Seguir” win the viewers choice on mtvU’s The Freshman. They will join the SuperHappy FunMoney Tour on August 10 @ the Backstage Bar in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bumpin Uglies released their third full-length album in May of 2013 and continued the success of Ninja Reggae Assassins into tours in the fall and winter. After the winter concluded Bumpin Uglies were chosen by the fans to play this year’s 5th Annual California Roots Festival in Monterey, California.
