Big things are on the way for Through The Roots! The San Diego based band has announced that they will be playing a few shows in Hawaii & Guam this summer. In addition, these shows will all lead up to the release of their first full-length album, Take You There!
After the release, they hit the road with Fortunate Youth and Micah Brown on Iration’s Automatic Summer Tour.
The band will start the beginning of their stacked summer schedule with a 4th of July show at the Wave House in San Diego, CA, with reggae legend, Barrington Levy. From there, TTR will fly over the North Pacific Ocean and embark on their adventure as they make their debut on the island of Guam for a couple of shows! They will be headlining the 2013 Guam Live Festival, playing along with 8 other artists. 
According to TTR’s manager, Grant Betrix, “we are really excited because we get to go to Chris’ home in Guam and Brady’s home on the big island.” All the bands for the festival have roots in Guam, and since lead guitarist, Chris Cruz, is of Chamorro decent, the festival’s promoter contacted the band.
In the last year, between playing shows, the guys have been busy working on new material for the release of their first full-length album. The album is titled, Take You There and is set to be released at the end of July.
The band recorded 5 tracks in Studio A of EastWest Recording Studios located in Los Angeles, California. Studio A has hosted some of the world’s greatest musical icons such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and The Rolling Stones. The remaining tracks were recorded in San Diego out of Big Fish Recording Studios.
The full-length will be about 9 tracks with no guest features.Take You There is being self-produced with a little help from the people at 3dB Soundworks in LA.

Following the release of Take You There, the band hits the road for a nationwide tour in support of Iration’s Automatic release. As you can see, the hard work that these guys have put in throughout the years is beginning to pay off.
