It is difficult to find a better success story in recent years than the independent, California roots-rock-reggae band known as Tribal Seeds. Sprouting from San Diego, CA in 2005, the award-winning reggae group grew from an opening or supporting act to a full-fledged national touring outfit, selling out venues with routine. Now, Tribal Seeds is set to hit their biggest stage yet!
Starting in 2013, Tribal Seeds will kickoff their west coast headlining tour with Stick Figure, but headlining is nothing new to Tribal Seeds at this stage. 2013 will mark the very first time Tribal Seeds have performed internationally! On February 22nd, 2013, Tribal Seeds will play in Lima, Peru. Tribal Seeds have toured away from the continental 48-states in the past, playing extensively in Hawaii, headlining the May Jah Ray Jah Festival in 2012, as well as playing in Guam three years ago. Now, Tribal Seeds have their passports ready for a trip to the southern hemisphere.
Tribal Seeds have been one of the hardest working bands, both in the studio and on the road, since they began making noise within the reggae-rock community back in 2008. Since then, the independent route has been fruitful for this reggae outfit. Another band that has virtually perfected the blue print for independent success is fellow San Diego based band, Slightly Stoopid.
Clearly, Slightly Stoopid is fond of the talent and longevity that Tribal Seeds displays, as the reggae-rock touring veterans are bringing Tribal Seeds on as direct support for an east coast tour this coming spring. The southern California duo will be on the road together for 19 tour stops, spanning through March and April.
Over the next four months, Tribal Seeds will be hitting all corners of the United States, beginning in their home state of California on January 10th. Without a doubt, the diamond in the ruff throughout all of these tour dates scheduled will be Tribal Seeds debut performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on April 20th. That particular show will feature tour headlining act, Slightly Stoopid, as well as the evening’s special guests, Cypress Hill. With the star power present for this particular show, one cannot forget the history that comes with playing a show at Red Rocks. The venue is over 100 years old and has hosted such legendary acts like The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, U2 and countless others have graced the historic stage. Tribal Seeds will be making their first step towards one day headlining Red Rocks like the aforementioned Hall of Fame cast.
Tribal Seeds is certainly on their way to that type of lofty success. With two months on the road alongside Slightly Stoopid, it’s safe to say Tribal Seeds will absorb as much wisdom from the veterans as possible.
