Three years since their last album, Iration has decided they’re long overdue for another one. The band has announced that their new upcoming album, “Automatic”, will be released on July 2 to much of their fan’s delight.
The reggae pop, rock band has been hard at work getting the album ready for release on their own label 3 Prong Records with distribution through MRI/RED.
In order to get fans amped up, Iration has released a brand new music video for the title track “Automatic”. The video gives viewers a deeper look into the band by featuring personal footage shot by the band while on the road as well as highlights from past shows. If you like the song, you’re in luck since the band decided to make that one song available for purchase on June 4th on iTunes.
“Automatic” will be the band’s third LP, following the astounding success of the past album “Time Bomb”. This 2010 album hit #1 on iTunes Reggae album chart and # 2 on Billboard’s Reggae album chart—definitely hard to beat! Although the new album embraces many of the band’s previous sounds, the boys have been pushing their musical boundaries, keeping their style fresh.

“Automatic is an album that most completely describes our music. It is eclectic in its songs and covers the full range of styles that we pride ourselves in being able to play,” said vocalist and guitarist Micah Pueschel. “Love in all its forms, is and has always fueled our music: love of life and its mysteries, love for your home, love of nature, and of course love between people. Automatic is no different. The title track ‘Automatic’ is a tribute to our fans. We owe them everything.”
Collaboration with Cage the Elephant’s guitarist Lincoln Parish brought even more talent to the floor and can be heard on several of the tracks.
In the meantime, Iration will be more than busy on the road adding shows to their hearty show history, having played some of the nation’s biggest festivals like Lollapalooza, Wakarusa, and California Roots. They’ll be joining with fellow reggae rockers Sublime with Rome and Steel Pulse.
Pre-sale for the album begins on Tuesday, June 11. Keep an ear out for their focus track “Back Around”, which will be added to the radio in the next few weeks leading up to the album release, giving fans something to hold them over until July 2.
